About

Once upon a time.......

Chris was an Occupational Therapist working for a Workplace Health and Safety Department.  She organised a client at her workstation in a manner that would represent the ideal office ergonomics picture.  One week later on her way to do more good Chris was devastated to notice the client still had her shoulder in the initial contorted position.  The equipment was still arranged to perfection but the client was not.

Chris continued to notice that no amount of arranging elements seemed to bring people to pain free posture as they sat to work.  Then Chris discovered the work of Moshe Feldenkrais and knew that the solution she was looking for with her clients involved habits

Ideal equipment was NOT the complete answer.  The rates of musculoskeletal injury remain as high as they have ever been despite all the readily available affordable equipment ………why?

Because this approach has failed to address the movement and postural habits.

Chris loves delivering training programs that combine traditional approaches with movement explorations that uncover an individual's own unique paterns of movement.  Her greatest joy is to convert people who feel they can't exercise to loving movement and making it part of their lifestyle.  She has a passion for posture.

Chris is passionate about empowering people to take responsibility for their own health an well-being.  She has been working with health and well-being since she began teaching aerobics classes in a church hall as a teenager in the 80's.  Chris has a wide breadth of experience in this area from corporate clients in Melbourne to rural and remote areas.

For many years Chris was limited by muscle pain associated with injuries (all those aerobics classes!) and illness.  These days she often forgets that life was ever limited by pain.  Chris studied Occupational Therapy as a mature age student.  Her areas of interest and practice continued to build on those from her days in the fitness industry.

Chris adores food - preferably healthy.  She lives in a 'Palace' with her family and is the Senior Princess there.
